When: Saturday 25th & 26th April 2026, 10am - 4pm
Where: 370 Magill Road, Kensington Park. SA 5068
Fee: $300
This two day workshop is designed for beginners who have already tried oil painting and are ready to deepen their skills. If you’ve completed a beginners’ class (with Seirian or elsewhere), this is the perfect next step to consolidate your understanding and gain more confidence with the medium.
Using a provided reference image, you will complete a small still life painting with indirect painting methods and a limited palette. Step by step, we’ll move from a tonal underpainting to layered colour, focusing on tone, form, and depth while building confidence in resolving a finished painting.
In this workshop you will:
Work accurately from a reference image
Strengthen your understanding of tone and value
Build confidence in colour mixing
Learn to construct a painting in layers
Refine brush handling and paint application
Develop depth, form, and realism
This workshop builds naturally on Seirian’s Oil Painting for Beginners, offering a supportive environment to expand your skills while keeping the subject matter manageable and achievable.
Surfaces are included in the course fee. Students are responsible for all other materials. Full materials listHERE.
Places are limited so early booking is encouraged. Please note that this course is for adults 18 years and over. Terms and conditions apply , please review them prior to purchasing.
